The Dreamwall studio took part in the creation of the feature film « Le Trésor de Barracuda » (El tesoro de Barracuda), an adaptation of the novel by Llanos Campos. This project illustrates the challenges of European and international collaboration, where the production of an animated film is often built through partnerships between several countries.

A Complete Technical Expertise
For this production, the Dreamwall teams mobilized their expertise in 2D cut-out animation, as well as in visual effects (VFX) and compositing. The technical challenge consisted of respecting the original narrative universe while ensuring visual fluidity between the traditional animation carried out by the Spanish teams and the cut-out animation, a technical mix rarely used for this type of feature film.

An International and Local Journey
The film began its international career with its launch in San Sebastian, before being presented at several major festivals, such as the Anima Festival in Brussels, where it was part of the children's feature film selection. Anchored in its territory, Dreamwall was also able to see the project screened locally in Charleroi, notably at Quai 10.

Industry Recognition
The project received a notable nomination for the Goya Awards in the Best Animated Film category. This distinction recognizes the technical and artistic quality of this co-production involving Inicia Film, Hampastudio, and Belvision.

From Book to Screen: The Taste for Adventure
Beyond the technical aspects, this collaboration made it possible to bring a unique story to the screen. In this story, Captain Barracuda and his crew discover that the true treasure is not found in a buried chest, but in learning to read. By participating in this adaptation, Dreamwall confirms its expertise in animated feature films and its ability to serve narratives that promote transmission and knowledge.
