Dreamwall’s Monsters at the CITÉ DES ENFANTS in Paris

Dreamwall rediscovered its inner child by contributing to the evolution of the Cité des Enfants for 5- to 10-year-olds at La Villette in Paris, in collaboration with Hovertone. In this iconic space dedicated to discovery and imagination, our team dove into the universe of the “Maison Bizarre” to bring to life an interactive experience where creativity and children’s emotions meet.
Create your own monster — like a next-generation “Mr. Potato Head”
In the “attic,” the highlight of this adventure, young explorers can craft their own monster using a wide range of visual elements designed by Dreamwall. Shapes, colors, emotions, attitudes, accessories, even botanical and architectural elements — everything is carefully thought out to spark the imagination.
Children personalize their creature on interactive kiosks and instantly send it to join a large animated triptych projected before them. In this colorful and dynamic world, their monsters grow and play side by side… until a mischievous monster shows up to stir up some chaos!A collective mural brought to life by children
This living scene is never static — young visitors actively take part in its evolution by interacting to erase disruptions and restore harmony. It’s a true digital playground where collaboration, creativity, and emotion take center stage.
For Dreamwall, this project has been both an artistic and technical adventure: imagining the monsters’ visual identity and developing an interactive scene where every detail comes alive through children’s actions perfectly illustrates our creative expertise.
